  • Support Engineer

    Position Location: Dalton (north), Israel

    Job description:

    • Technical support on Sarine products, Including Machines, Applications, and SAAS solutions.
    • Act as Tier 3 for Service Calls, and work closely with RnD to provide solutions based on Tier 1/2 technical inputs.
    • Knowledge Building – Creating Training materials for Release / Upgrade products, Support manuals, and Refresher courses for technicians in the field.
    • Service call analyzing, building Pareto and improvement plan, lead and monitor execution.

     

    Job requirements:

    • Experience as Service Engineer in multi-disciplinary systems, including HW, SW and cloud infrastructure (AWS).
    • High problem-solving skills.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, self-motivated, and an effective team player.

    Our cloud-based solutions consist of various components that enable clients to interact with the cloud, including web front-ends and distributed processing sub-systems and infrastructure. Our products are based on advanced computer vision and AI algorithms, including machine learning and deep learning.

    We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled QA Engineer to join our scrum team. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, possess excellent problem-solving skills, and have a strong understanding of software testing methodologies.

    As a QA engineer, you will play a key role in delivering a high-quality product and ensuring that it meets the company’s quality standards. You will be part of a Scrum team that includes developers, QA engineers, and a product owner. Our project involves both hardware and software aspects, including both server and client components.

    This is a full-time, in-office position.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Design, develop and execute manual tests.
    • Create a detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases.
    • Identify, analyze, and document issues, and ensure they are resolved in a timely manner.
    • Be a contributing and meaningful part of a scrum team. Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews.
    • Be proficient in working with various testing tools and methodologies.
    • Recommend improvements in software to enhance user experience.
    • Work with stakeholders, product managers and product owners to understand the upcoming requirements of the system.
    • Analyze, recreate, and handle support tickets that arise from the customer’s end.
    • Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to ensure quality and efficiency.

    Position summary:
    Sarine Technologies is a worldwide leader in the development and manufacturing of advanced
    evaluation, planning, cutting, shaping, polishing, and grading systems for diamond and gemstone
    processing, from the stone mining until it arrives graded to the customer.

    The System Engineer role is positioned in the beating heart of the company advanced innovations, as
    part the Multi-Disciplinary Developments and Research of our Team in the northern site of Israel, at
    Dalton. The team is the leading part of the technological revolution in the Diamonds world. The team
    develops multi-disciplinary products that involves HW, SW, Mechanics, Optics, Algorithms.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Responsibility for the Developments of new systems a new products
    • Responsibility for the implementation of the diamonds scanning system while meeting the objectives, schedule, budget and quality
    • Responsibility for defining a work point, determining solutions, specifications and execution and meeting the requirements in the aspects of the task.
    • Partnership and support in the R&D teams in front of the customer.
    • Preparing, approving, accompanying and supervising the experimental plans and the integration of the task system in the project
    • Responsibility for risk analysis in the mission system, fault handling, learning processes from events, change management
    • Responsibility for the integration of these systems in the relevant customer sites, their approval and delivery to the customer
    • Support and maintain the company main systems
    • Supervise and support subcontractors
    • Support System and Software Engineers on prototypes integration (with mechanics and optics)
    • Support Software developers and QA on integration and testing
    • Document the procedures and technical details


    Requirements:

    • BSc/MSc in Software/System/Electrical Engineering
    • +5 years experience in System Engineering
    • Experience in the defense industry – big advantage
    • Experience in working on development of Multi-Disciplinary products – must
    • +2 years experience in software development, preferred C++/C# – OOP, .NET / .NET Core, Cloud, Embedded
    • Experience in processors programing C/VHDL or digital/analog control design – advantage
    • +2 years of 
    • System mindset with proven ability to zoom-out and zoom-in into a system product
